- We specialise in Trauma & PTSD, as well as depression and anxiety – because these so often occur alongside Trauma & PTSD.
- We believe that life is better looking forward, although the past may need to be processed in order to allow this to occur. So we also utilise future-focused, strengths-based and goal-oriented techniques.
- We view each individual on a holistic basis.
- We work with each client to develop a treatment plan to address their specific goals.
- We use evidence-based approaches based on NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guidelines for the treatment of Trauma and PTSD.
- Our professional Assessment Procedure forms the basis for this carefully constructed treatment programme.
- All options are discussed with the client and they remain an active participant throughout the counselling process.

- I started my career as a Social Worker in the Trauma and Abuse unit in the USA.
- I have over 30 years of experience working in the mental health field.
- I’m a Supervisor, trainer, university lecturer and author of numerous accredited counselling courses.
- I’m also a Consultant traumatologist for insurance and legal cases.
- MSc.in Mental Health at Kings College School of Medicine/Institute of Psychiatry.
- I studied Cognitive approaches in CBT and CAT.
- In addition, I use a wide range of other approaches including EMDR, CPT, PET, NET, WET, IRRT, Trauma-Focused CBT and more
- Diploma in Trauma and Abuse
- Levels I, II & III EMDR practitioner
